The built-in desk control also lights up and vibrates to remind you to get off your butt every once in awhile.And while you’re busy working, so is the high-tech table: The sensors send to the cloud anonymized real-time data, which is analyzed and delivered “in the form of evolving insights to enhance workplace performance,” according to the Herman Miller press release.An accompanying mobile app and digital dashboard, meanwhile, make it easy to set personal preferences and follow data analysis. via Herman Miller“With the data insights captured through Live OS, organizations can better measure and manage workplace strategy to optimize real estate usage and improve employee experience,” Ryan Anderson, director of commercialization, said in a statement.Initial testing suggests Live OS users are six times more active and productive. Though the jury is still out regarding the actual health benefits of standing desks.Subscription-based Live OS will launch first in North America with limited availability as part of the Herman Miller Living Office suite.The creator of the Aeron chair also introduced a handful of other products at NeoCon, including the ColourForm Sofa Group collection designed by Stefan Scholten, the Ollin Monitor Arm with fingertip screen control, and the Versus family of seating solutions.
