The rival to Highland Radio’s domination of the Donegal airwaves says it stands over all of its claims in its bid to win the radio license for the county.DLFM, fronted by former Highland boss Charlie Collins, submitted its application to the Broadcasting Association of Ireland recently. Both applications belonging to Highland and DLFM were made public on the BAI’s website on Wednesday. But within hours of the move Highland boss Gerry Rabbitt was threatening legal action against DLFM for the contents of its application.Mr Rabbitt is refusing to elaborate any further on those threats or what they pertain to.But DLFM last night issued a statement saying they stand over their application but will not comment on unspecific claims made by Highland. The statement, issued on behalf of DLFM by Charlie Collins said “DLFM has submitted a comprehensive application to the BAI for the North Donegal Broad Format Radio Franchise Services. “The contents of this application are fully correct and supported by empirical evidence, where relevant. This application is currently being considered by BAI as part of a competition process.“Therefore, DLFM is not prepared to comment on the unspecific claims that have been advanced by Highland Radio in connection with that application other than to categorically refute such claims.”It will be known in the coming weeks who has won the license to rule the North Donegal airwaves from September next and remain there for ten years.COLLINS SAYS DLFM STANDS OVER SUBMISSION AS RADIO BID HOTS UP was last modified: November 1st, 2013 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:Charlie CollinsDLFMGerry RabbittHighland
Six fishermen were rescued off the coast of Inishowen last night when their boat began taking on water. The RNLI responded to the call off Inishowen. The crew were on board a commercial crabbing vessel two miles off Dunree when the water began to come on board at about 3.15am.The crew made an emergency call and two lifeboats from the RNLI based in Buncrana and the rescue helicopter 118 from Sligo rushed to the scene. Three members of the RNLI boarded the vessel and using a salvage pump, they managed to get the water from the boat and began to tow the vessel. All the fishermen were wearing lifejackets and had the liferaft ready to be deployed.A spokesman for the RNLI said there were no injuries.Once the boat was stabilised, the lifeboat escorted the vessel safely back to shore at Rathmullan where it arrived at seven o’clock this morning. Following the four hour operation, Mark Barnett, Lough Swilly RNLI Coxswain said: ‘The six fishermen deserve to be commended for their quick actions in the early hours of this morning. They called for help once they got into difficultly and had their life raft ready if needed in an emergency. The boat had taken on a considerable amount of water but thankfully our crew was able to assist and avoid the vessel from sinking and assist the men safely back to shore.’ SIX CREW RESCUED FROM STRICKEN VESSEL OFF COAST OF DONEGAL was last modified: September 8th, 2014 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:donegalDunreehelicopterInishowenrescueRNLI

7 June 2013South African state company Transnet and the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (Nepad) Business Foundation have launched the Africa Infrastructure Desk, a platform for linking the private and public sectors in getting infrastructure projects implemented across Africa. The “innovative research, linkage and relationship platform” will provide information on infrastructure developments, help develop investment opportunities for companies, and facilitate engagement between the public and private sector, Transnet said at the launch of the desk in Johannesburg on Tuesday. The aim is to make a meaningful impact on spatial and industrial development, as well as regional integration, in the southern African region and sub-Saharan Africa’s north-south corridor.According to Nepad, infrastructure continues to be Africa’s “missing link” when it comes to developing integrated intra-Africa regional trade. While intra-African trade falls far below the continent’s potential, infrastructure projects suffer from “lack of information, inconsistent cross-border policy, and poor project bankabilit”.“Africa’s infrastructure deficit is crippling the continent in trade and investment,” Nepad Business Foundation (NBF) CEO Lynette Chen said in a statement. “Transnet and the NBF’s partnership reflects the potential that the private and public sector could have to harness resources and skills to tackle the huge infrastructure deficit while ensuring local empowerment.”Through the Africa Infrastructure Desk, Chen said, “companies will access, collaborate and implement infrastructure project opportunities across Africa. Through Nepad, access to public and private sectors will be managed on the basis of political and regulatory certainty through strong alignment with Nepad’s Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa.”Transnet CEO Brian Molefe said the partnership envisioned “an Africa without borders, an Africa that is seamlessly linked from Cape to Cairo by efficient infrastructure.“But in order to achieve this vision, closer collaboration, partnership and coordination between all stakeholders, including government and private sector, is required to find joint solutions to implementing these large-scale infrastructure projects.”SAinfo reporter
Perfect to wear out to a party. Cute, small horns ideal for hen party. I’m wearing this with a red tutu and red gloves (which i bought from anne summers last year) as my devil costume. It has arrived and looks really nice. I have tried it on and it seems to fit nicely and stay put too. I am very happy with it and it was very cheap. There are a few on here which are more expensive and this one is lovely; it has sequins on the horns and a little red fluff around them. The band is durable enough to withstand the party i am going to, i think. I am very happy with this as part of my costume and would purchase again next year if this were to take a battering on the night ;-). Arrived the next day- so cute. Ready for the halloween party in october- but wanted to make sure i had the finishing touches to my outfit. Looked really good and was also good quality. Perfect addition to my halloween costume – sequins add a. Perfect addition to my halloween costume – sequins add a pretty/glamorous touch, and i bought a devil tail and fork with sequins to match. Fit adults for hen night fine and were comfortable. Excellent product, exactly as described, prompt delivery. These were amazing, i’ve worn a lot of devil horns on alice bands before and they’ve either been too loose, too tight, or too itchy. This though is perfect, fits like a dream, feels soft, and looks greatthese are the devil horns to buy if you want to look, and feel great while wearing them at whatever occasion. They are sturdy enough to last for a long time too i would think. Fantastic accessory for a recent hen-do and comfortable to wear. Didn’t pinch my head but stayed put all night. And attention from the boys – great bonus. Go’s with my friends out fit brilliantly. Quick delivery and fabulous for a night out, surprisingly good quality as well and better value than off the high street. Good but not stuffed, arrived early which was great. Share Facebook Twitter Google + LinkedIn Pinterest By Evin Bachelor, Law Fellow, Agricultural and Resource Law Program, Ohio State UniversityThe Ohio General Assembly has returned from the midterm elections with a potentially busy lame duck session ahead of it. Already a number of bills that we have been monitoring have seen activity in their respective committees. The Ohio Senate Agriculture Committee held first hearing on multi-parcel auction bill. State senators heard testimony on House Bill 480 on Nov. 13. The bill would authorize the Ohio Department of Agriculture to regulate multi-parcel auctions, which are currently not specifically addressed in the Ohio Revised Code. The bill also defines “multi-parcel auction,” saying such an auction is one involving real or personal property in which multiple parcels or lots are offered for sale in part or in whole. The bill would also establish certain advertising requirements. The bill’s primary sponsor, Representative Brian Hill of Zanesville, says that he introduced the bill in an effort to recognize by statute what auctioneers are already doing, and to do so without interrupting the industry. The bill passed the Ohio House of Representatives 93-0 in June.
View Keyframe DataThere are a number of ways to view keyframe information. The Info panel shows timecode as well as spatial and temporal interpolation. To view all of the keyframes within a Timeline, press the U key. Right-click on a keyframe to get a quick view of the values of the attribute — as well as a number of navigation and selection tools. You’ll also have shortcuts to all of the tools in the Animation menu. Last but not least, check out the Keyframe Assistant menu for a number of creative options. That’s it! Now go fine-tune those After Effects keyframes.Interested in the songs we used in this video?“You Can’t Lose” by Wolves“Ultra Lights” by Cymatix“Shine Forever” by Cymatix“Hypnotic” by Gyom“Razor Trap” by Cymatix Adjust ValuesIn After Effects, you can make adjustments to keyframe values via the Timeline and Composition panels. A more precise method for changing a value is by simply double-clicking a keyframe in the Timeline panel. This will bring up a dialog box that includes additional options, such as the ability to view properties via different units. Change InterpolationInterpolation influences how a value changes over space and time. With either one or multiple keyframes selected, navigate to Animation and select Keyframe Interpolation. Here you can change the interpolation of both spatial and temporal keyframes. You can even set keyframes to automatically adapt to others by selecting Rove Across Time. This is a pretty in-depth topic, so be sure to check out my tutorial on the subject. Move Motion PathsA great way to adjust spatial keyframes is to manipulate them directly in the composition panel. Simply click and drag keyframes to reposition them, and make subtle adjustments to motion paths via bezier curves. Add, delete, and further manipulate keyframes with the Pen tool. Dots will give you a quick reference of the speed of an animation, and roving keyframes will automatically adjust in the timeline as you move them around in the composition panel. Let’s have a closer look at all of the ways to work with keyframes in Adobe After Effects. Modify SpeedThe timeline is an obvious place to make adjustments to keyframe values in time. If, however, you want more precise control over the speed and values of your keyframes, then click on the Graph Editor button. This layout allows users to use bezier curves to make specific tweaks to keyframe speed, velocity, influence, and interpolation. Speaking of velocity, if you’d like to get even more specific with velocity values, select a keyframe and go to Animation > Keyframe Velocity.
