(Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)There hasn’t been a team that has experienced more heartbreaking losses in college football over the past few years than the Georgia Bulldogs. After losing in overtime to Alabama in the national title game two years ago, they fell short to the Crimson Tide once again in the SEC Championship.Georgia has all the makings of a championship team with Kirby Smart as the head coach. Unfortunately, the program has fallen short to Alabama in the biggest moments possible. All hope isn’t lost for the Bulldogs though, as they’ll enter this fall on a short list of contenders. In fact, former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy thinks it’s only a matter of time until the program wins the national title.“They’re going to win a national championship,” McElroy said on the SEC Network. “It’s just a matter of if it’s this year, next year, two years from now, or five years from now.”last_img
