Cleanup continues for Suncor Energy gas spill in Quebec

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Cleanup crews continued their work Friday after a gasoline spill at a Suncor Energy Inc. facility in eastern Quebec.It was not immediately clear how much gas spilled from the reservoir, which has a capacity of two million litres.Enbridge Inc shuts down pipeline to U.S. after leak releases 1,350 barrels of oil at pumping stationAfter an unusual land deal, a giant spill and a tanker-train explosion, anxiety grips oil-rich U.S.Suncor (TSX:SU) and environment officials transferred at least 1.4 million litres of gasoline to tanker-trucks.Authorities said they were advised of the leak in Rimouski at about 6 p.m. on Thursday.There were no injuries.
